The Greater Grand Canyon Ecoregion encompasses a diverse, wild, and remote landscape and includes two national monuments, two national forests, numerous wilderness areas, and the crown jewel of our national park system: Grand Canyon National Park.
The main focus of the Grand Canyon Chapter’s energy work is to encourage the use of renewable energy resources and to promote additional energy efficiency and conservation. Our objective is to transition from coal and gas in order to reduce global climate change, pollution, and other environmental degradation related to reliance on fossil fuels and nuclear energy.
U.S. policies along our southern border are proving ineffective, costly, and harmful to people and the environment. Sierra Club takes a strong stance against policies that promote environmental degradation including those that provide for destructive border enforcement activities.
